At Austin Chapel Church of Christ, we believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only son of the living God and that He died on the cross, was buried, and then resurrected on the third day. He did this so that those who choose to obey Him can have eternal life. (John 3:16)
We believe that those who seek Christ will repent and be baptized, meaning they turn away from their sins with a sincere desire and immerse themselves in the waters of baptism, the blood of Christ that washes away their sins. (Acts 2:38). Those seeking Christ will also keep and obey His commandments, (John 14:15), because Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father in heaven. (John 14:6)
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that we need to use it to teach, reproof, correct, and train in righteousness so that we can be equipped to do His work and His will. (2 Timothy 3:16).
